I’ve lived in London all my life and it’s still my favourite place in the world. After university, I began my career at Accenture and Deutsche Bank before moving into the British Government, where I spent over a decade across the Home Office and Cabinet Office and later led the Venture Capital Unit. I loved promoting the UK to investors globally.
I left last year to build City O’Clock because I couldn’t find an effortless, beautifully curated way to book luxury experiences in Britain, so I decided to create one.
What is your favourite City O'Clock experience and why?
It sounds cliché, but I genuinely love every experience on the platform. We only accept experiences that the team and I absolutely adore; that’s our north star.
If I had to choose one, it would be Holland & Holland’s shooting experiences. I’ve always loved British history and indulge in series like The Crown and Downton Abbey. When you walk into Holland & Holland, the staff show you where Princess Diana used to sit, and how William and Harry would play around the bar before their shooting lessons. It’s deeply British, like stepping into an old English novel.
A Memory That Makes You Smile
Taking my eight‑year‑old son to test our children’s experiences. He’s done everything from Biscuiteers, Crazy Pizza, Bread Ahead, My Little Unicorn to Sharky & George.
After one of them, he told me, “I have the best mummy in the world.” I hope other families feel that same joy through City O’Clock.
